Tigerville, SC—North Greenville University (NGU) will host its ‘Faithful and Whole’ ministry conference on April 11 in Tigerville. This one-day event will feature Dr. Phil Newton, author, retired pastor, and visiting professor at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ministry leaders and ministry teams will have the opportunity to hear from Newton and participate in workshops throughout the day. Lunch and refreshments will also be provided.

“[Participants] will get three excellent plenary sessions with a pastor of over 40 years and pastor of pastors, Dr. Phil Newton. They will also have two workshop sessions that will help them develop as a team and how to care for their own souls in ministry as well as raise up a new generation of leaders to carry the baton,” said Matthew Wireman, program director of Christian ministries online at NGU.

Plenary sessions include, “Still Called: Ministry in a World That No Longer Listens,” “When the Oil Runs Low: Signs You’re Burning Out—and What to Do About It,” and “Return to Your First Love.”

Wireman said the conference aims to be an encouragement to ministry leaders.

“[I’m looking forward to] being encouraged and given a way to be not only faithful in ministry but to maintain our souls to minister from God’s love and strength,” said Wireman. “[Also] being with ministry leaders and encouraging them with gifts and a brief but focused time to care for their own souls will prove immensely helpful for the long-term benefit of churches and ministries.”

Registration for the event is now available at a cost of $79. The price will be $99 on the day of the event. There will be a gift bag of books given at the conference.

There are discounts for teams of five or more. Teams of five or more who would like the discounted rate should contact Matthew Wireman at Matthew.Wireman@ngu.edu.
