Culture Creators for Christ
Our Purpose
“In the beginning, God created. . .” Creation was God’s first recorded act. As image-bearers of Christ, creativity is part of our divine calling. By nurturing that calling, we honor that Christ’s image in ourselves and others. The arts serve as powerful vehicles for storytelling and representation, portraying the entire arc of God’s redemptive narrative. When we tell stories, we promote love, faith, redemption, forgiveness, and grace. Moreover, genuine artistic community celebrates truth and Truth, recognizing the call to love our neighbors and share our gifts. North Greenville University recognizes this high calling.
The College of Communication and Fine Arts at North Greenville University aspires to glorify God by cultivating culture-creators in visual arts, communication, music, and theatre who are equipped to serve as transformational leaders for church and society. Culture Creators for Christ exists to support the arts at NGU by raising funds for scholarships, operations, and facilities. Your donations will be used to invest in the lives of students by providing them with the equipment and resources they need to be successful. By becoming a Culture Creator, you are supporting the overall educational mission of the institution and helping to cultivate student-artists in a challenging, Christ-centered environment.
Current goals that the funds raised will be used to invest in:
- New musical instruments
- Student trips
- Technology for the theatre
- Technology for Hamlin Recital Hall and our music labs
- New equipment in the ceramics and sculpture labs
- Supplies for the art studios
- Software across the entire Department
- Updates to the Rosti Gallery (Inside the Studio at ‘Ole 414)

What Our Teachers Are Saying
Hayley De Gonzalez, MFA
Department Chair, Art
“From the very first verse in Genesis, creativity serves as the starting point for all life. Art serves as both a connection and reflection of our Divine Creator. Making is a divine activity that mirrors God’s act of creation. The act of creating art is a way of bringing renewal and hope into the world, can sow the seeds of fellowship, and serve as a means to share the gospel, as our Father reflects in our works.”
Amy Dunlap, MFA
Associate Dean, School of the Arts
