Tigerville, SCNorth Greenville University (NGU) will present its annual Christmas concert on December 2 at 7 p.m. in Turner Chapel.

Led by Greg Graf and Michael Weaver, the concert will be performed by NGU’s Cline School of Music students and will focus of the central message of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.

Web Drake, dean of College of Communication and Fine Arts at NGU, encouraged the community to come out to and enjoy an evening of holiday cheer.

“Music is so central to Christmas. It helps form core memories for our children and takes us back to our own pasts. This concert will lead us in worship of the God who left heaven to be an infant in a manger. It will take us away from the bustle of the crowds and remind us of the true meaning of Christmas,” said Drake.

Drake said he is excited for each year’s performance as he gets to experience firsthand all the hard work that goes into it leading up to the concert day.

“It is one of the few times I get to work with our music students. They work so hard, but I’m not really a part of their world,” he said. “This is a chance I get to join in! I love getting to be a part!”

Tickets are available online or by calling the box office.
