Do you require a bachelor’s degree?
Yes. The NGU MABS graduate program requires a completed bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Is the GRE required for admissions?
The GRE is not required for applicants with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
If the applicant does not meet the 2.5 cumulative GPA requirement, they must submit a Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Miller Analogies Test (MAT) score, or a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
GRE, MAT and GMAT test scores must be no more than five years old at the time of the PostbacCAS application.

Are there required prerequisite courses?
The MABS does not require specific prerequisite courses for admissions.
It is recommended that applicants have completed undergraduate General Biology and General Chemistry, as these courses help prepare students for the pace and rigor of graduate-level biomedical science coursework.

What is the deadline for submitting an application?
The Verified PostbacCAS application deadline is four weeks prior to matriculation into one of our program’s three start terms.

What are the start terms for the MABS program?
Once accepted, students can matriculate into one of three start terms:
- August/Fall
- January/Spring
- May/Summer

How long does it take to complete the program?
The MABS program is designed to be completed in 12 consecutive months of full-time study. Students may enroll part-time, which will extend the time required to complete the program.

Is the program fully online?
The MABS program is delivered fully online, including labs.

Is the program asynchronous or synchronous? Is the program self-paced?
All course content is asynchronous and accessed through the university’s learning management system.
MABS graduate courses are not self-paced. There are weekly deadlines. Every MABS course has the same weekly deadline of Thursday and/or Sunday.
Students will participate in a minimum of one virtual advising meeting per term through Microsoft Teams. Meeting times are flexible and designed to accommodate professional and personal obligations.

How many credit hours is the program, and how is the curriculum structured?
The MABS is a 33 credit-hour post-baccalaureate master’s degree.
Students complete:
- 10 credit hours in the first term (14-week term)
- 9 -14 credit hours during the remaining three 8-week terms, allowing completion of the program in 12 months.
Accepted MABS students may enroll in the MABS program part-time before the start of any term.

How much does the program cost, and is financial aid available?
Tuition for the MABS program is $850 per credit hour.
Institutional scholarships are not currently available but students may explore federal aid options if eligible through the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Does NGU MABS program accept international students?
The Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences is delivered entirely online.
International students may enroll and complete the MABS program from their home countries. However, because the program is fully online, NGU cannot issue an F-1 student visa for this program.
